How do I get started? 

To begin your training, call us at (865) 233-3272. We will register you as a student, place you with the program you need, and schedule your weekly lessons. 

What is the best way to contact you? 

You can call or email us with any questions you may have about the programs we offer at MVA.  If you live internationally, not to worry!  You can email us at office@martinsvocalacademy.com and we can get you started that way.  If you are local or national, you can reach us by calling (865) 233-3272 or you may also email us from our website by clicking here. How much are lessons? 

We offer fair and competitive rates for our coaching programs in our area. Lessons range from $50-$150 per half hour and $100-$300 per hour. You can learn more about our coach and rates by contacting the studio at (865) 233-3272 or emailing office@martinsvocalacademy.com 

What should I bring to my lessons? 

Always come prepared with a recording device (your phone is fine), and your material memorized. If you are a first-time student, coming prepared with a song, monologue, or piece to play is definitely a plus! (room temperature water is always provided)

How often are lessons? 

Lessons are once a week for most students. You are welcome to take lessons multiple times a week if you like, but once per week is the minimum. 

Can I record each lesson? 

Yes. We believe there is great value in recording your lessons. You’ll have it to refer to later and it’s a great way to practice specific techniques given by your coach. 

How often can I take lessons? 

Most students take once a week. However, there are others who opt to take multiple times a week in multiple art areas. You may take up to 6 times per week if you desire. 

What is your payment policy? 

After you register with us, we ask that you provide a debit or credit card number and we invoice students on the first of every month. Cardholders are emailed a receipt for payment each month. You may also pay by the lesson if preferred.  Payment is made before each lesson by Cash, Check, or via Paypal.

How do I know which MVA Program is best for me? 

We will recommend an MVA Program for you, however, if you feel you want to explore different programs, we will help you with that too.

Can you help me find an agent? 

No. We aren't an agency but we can help advise you on what to look for in a proper agency. We can not guarantee that each student will be signed either.  Although they will have the training necessary to land any gig or get signed.

Do you offer students the opportunity to showcase their talent? 

Yes. If the student has graduated up to the Studio Recording Experience program, they will have the opportunity to record songs in our on-site studio, apply what they have learned within MVA as they are featured on the MVA Youtube Channel and Social Media Channel as well as the websites streaming player.  Each song is professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered so the student can share their music with the world.  This a great way to experience what a professional artist can do within MVA. 

I’m interested in taking lessons online. How does that work? 

Taking lessons via Skype, Facetime or Zoom is revolutionizing the student/coach experience.  Not only are these applications free to download and set up, but it also enables you to take your lessons from the comfort of your own home ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!   We have national and international students who take advantage of this option on a daily basis as well as local students who simply don’t want to fight traffic to get to us in person.  As long as you have a quality internet connection, the quality of the lesson is the same! 

Do you offer standard discounts for new students? 

Yes.  We run several promotions each year for new students however, we always offer a 10% discount for families interested in registering more than one child.  Not to mention our local discounts for students.

Are you a manager, publishing company or record label? 

We are not. However, we can help you sharpen your skills and develop you as an artist so you can become appealing to those establishments. 

Do I have to sign an annual contract to take lessons? 

Absolutely not. We want to earn your business.  Our programs are structured on a month-to-month basis.  We believe we offer the best training at a fair price so there’s no need to lock anyone into a long-term contract. 

Can I pay as I go? 

We have 2 options for students wishing to study at MVA. The first option is called an “enrolled student”. This option will guarantee you a weekly day and time in your coaches' schedule that cannot be booked over by anyone else, it’s your exclusive spot. Students enrolled in this option will be billed on a reoccurring basis on the first of each month. If you wish to cancel, you may do so by sending written notice by the 15th of the current month and you will no longer be charged.  The second option is called a “pay as you go student”. This student is charged slightly more per session but does not get charged on a monthly basis on the 1st. Students enrolled in this option purchase a package of 4 sessions at the minimum and are able to take those lessons whenever they would like within the coaches' availability. 

What is your rescheduling policy? 

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to reschedule lessons.  Failure to give proper notice will result in the forfeiture of that lesson with no option to make it up. When coaches are given proper notice, students have 1 month from the date of the missed lesson to make it up.
